Unwoven: your guide to loving and liberating yourself.

Where rules are meant to be broken, convention is challenged and you are encouraged to embrace your authentic self.

Unwoven

This is a unique and creative space where we unravel, heal and become again. Where you can be you unapologetically; a strong, brave, creative, succesful, sensual and curious human (or whoever else you are).

Unwoven Studio is founded by me, Thamara Zijlstra, and both a highly personal space and a fully communal one. It’s the place where we reconnect with the essence of who we are, where you find the courage to express yourself without limits.

This is your space to explore, to provoke, to play and ultimately, to transform.

Becoming unwoven is about creating something honest, something raw. Something that dares to be real even when the world pressures us to conform.

Transformation is the ultimate goal - not into something predetermined or polished, but into a version of yourself that feels right to you.

By sharing myself, I hope you will share you.

I Guide

I’ve been called a mentor, an inspiration and a coach. Even the best teacher ever. Whatever way you want to call me, what I do is guide.

I’m your guide whenever you need one, when you know that going at it is easier and approached more gently together.

I’ve guided thousands of people figuring out their next step in life, starting a business or simply, finally, feel good about who you truly are. No more cages, no more limits. Are you ready to see, embrace and share the real you?

I Make

Art is the bridge between who you are and who you want to be. My art is a mirror, reflecting not just my journey but yours too. It's an invitation to confront your fears, celebrate your individuality and step boldly into the world as your truest self.

I’m crazy about textiles, about sharing stories using the age-old craft of working with fabric and wool. I’m also into black-and-white photography and modeling, sharing stories through the lens of a camera.

Recently captivated by the art of painting with wool, I now translate my exploration of critical social themes into powerful, thought-provoking works, inviting us all to embrace a little more freedom.

I Write

The written words I share with you come in many forms. It can be a poem that inspires you, copy that moves you or an article you learn from.

It can be here in the online space, printed on a poster to show on your wall or displayed in an exhibition anywhere.

I’ve contributed to several books and media publications too.

Whatever way you consume my work, all of it is aimed to reflect, heal and transform.

About Thamara

I’m an anthropologist, storyteller, entrepreneur and artist. I’m a professional weirdo. Founder of Unwoven; a guide to loving and liberating yourself, as well as a pioneer in remote work, founder of the virtual assistant profession and nominated twice for most successful creative business woman of The Netherlands.

I am driven by an unwavering belief in the freedom to be fully and unapologetically ourselves and have dedicated my life to defying expectations in a world where it’s easier to conform. I now translate my exploration of critical social themes into powerful, thought-provoking works, inviting us all to embrace a little more freedom.

To me, there is no other way but to follow your heart, be untamed and be yourself unapologetically.

It is love that changes our world, not fear.
